This privacy policy ("Policy") describes the ways in which Loop Industries, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, "Loop", "we", "our", or "us") collect, use, and disclose Personal Information (as hereafter defined) about you, how we protect Personal Information, and your rights in relation to Personal Information. We may obtain this Personal Information through our website at, any Loop website that may link to this Policy and when you provide information to us directly, use our services or websites, subscribe to our publications or newsletters, complete registration or subscription forms, by means of surveys, entry to a promotion or through third party agents, contractors, vendors or suppliers who provide products and services to us or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge that we will handle Personal Information as described in this Policy, which may be amended from time to time.

"Personal Information" means information which relates to you, and which can, either on its own or in combination with other pieces of information, reasonably allow you to be identified.

This Policy does not apply to the Personal Information of our employees, our consultants or other individuals assigned to Loop, or to any information that is not Personal Information.


1.1 Information you provide

We and our service providers collect Personal Information you provide when you use the Services. You may also provide us with Personal Information about other people.

The Personal Information you provide us can include, but is not limited to:

  1. Personal details (e.g. name, date of birth, employer’s information, business information);
  2. Contact details (e.g. phone number, email address, postal address or mobile number);
  3. Business information (e.g. employer name, job title, professional qualifications, industry); and
  4. Transactional information (e.g. information about your Services you request, information relating to any of your requests, queries or complaints).
1.2 Information we collect from other sources

We may collect Personal Information about you if another person provides us with your Personal Information. We may also collect Personal Information about you from other sources, including from our partners.

The categories of Personal Information that we collect about you from these other sources are:

  1. Personal details (e.g. name, date of birth, employer’s information, business information);
  2. Contact details (e.g. phone number, email address, postal address or mobile number); and
  3. Business information (e.g. employer name, job title, professional qualifications, industry).
1.3 Information automatically collected about you

We and our partners and service providers automatically collect certain technical information from your computer or mobile device over time when you use these devices to access the Services and will collect this technical information across different websites.

The categories of Personal Information we automatically collect about you include:

  1. Browser details (e.g. Internet Protocol address, your browser type);
  2. Device details (e.g. device model, MAC address, advertising identifier, operating system); and
  3. Usage details (e.g. search requests and results, application usage data, and suggestions based on user actions).

Some of this information may be collected through the use of "cookies" or similar technologies such as pixels, clear gifs or device fingerprints (together referred to as "cookies"). Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider may transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.


2.1 Cookies

By using a browser feature called a cookie and other methods, Loop and our third party service providers may gather non-Personal Information when you visit our websites, such as data about the frequency of your visits to our websites, the duration of your visits, the pages you view and the type of Internet browser and operating system you use. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that identifies the visitor’s browser, but not necessarily the visitor, to our computers each time our websites are visited. Website visitor information is collected on an anonymous basis, which means that no Personal Information is associated with such data, unless a visitor specifically provides us with such information (e.g. through our Services or by sending us a message from our websites).

In addition to the identified purposes described in this Policy, we may use information obtained from our websites and share it with other organizations with whom we have a business relationship to measure the use of our websites and to improve the functionality and content of our websites. Loop and our third-party service providers may also use cookies and invisible web beacons to deliver interest-based advertisements that are relevant and targeted to the visitors of our websites.

You can manage your cookies by installing a third-party program or by reconfiguring your web browser. Most web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies; however, you can delete or disable cookies by modifying your settings. If you decide to disable cookies on our websites, you may not be able to take full advantage of all website features.

2.2 Online Communications

We may combine and store information about your use of our websites and the online information that you have provided us with, along with other online and offline information we may have collected.

2.3 Searches

For your convenience, search functions are sometimes provided on our websites. We keep records of the words searched to learn more about what kind of information our users are seeking, and thus improve our Services.

2.4 Hyperlinks

For your convenience, Loop’s websites may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties. When you click on one of these hyperlinks, you will be transferred from Loop’s website and be connected to a third-party site, which may have different privacy policies and practices in place. This Privacy Policy is no longer applicable when you leave our website. You should consult the privacy policies of these other entities before providing any Personal Information on their websites. Loop is not responsible, nor do we accept any liability, for the Personal Information collection, use and disclosure practices of other entities to which our websites may link.


We collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • to provide the information you requested;
  • to communicate with you in relation to the Services and to respond to your requests and inquiries;
  • to communicate with you regarding Loop and its activities which may take the form of outbound emails;
  • to detect and protect against error, fraud, theft and other illegal activity;
  • to better understand your needs and preferences;
  • to organize and administer contests and/or surveys;
  • to meet legal requirements; and/or
  • for any other purpose for which you otherwise give your consent.

Unless otherwise described above, we will use the Personal Information in this way to meet our legitimate business interests. We have an interest in improving the functionality of the Services (through tailoring content, and analyzing statistics) to make sure you have the best experience using the Services, and an interest in communicating with you (through marketing, responses to customer service requests and content delivery) in a way that is most useful to you. We may disclose your Personal Information within our organization in order to better serve you and to provide you with information about Loop.

When you provide Personal Information to us with respect to employment opportunities, including, but not limited to, your resume, we will treat such Personal Information on a confidential basis and use it only (i) to consider you for current or future employment opportunities within Loop, and (ii) to contact you with respect to such employment opportunities. We will retain your Personal Information for further employment opportunities that may arise within Loop, unless you inform us that you no longer want us to retain your information.

We may also transfer your Personal Information to service providers acting on our behalf for purposes mentioned in this Privacy Policy. Note that some of our service providers who process or handle Personal Information on our behalf may be located in a foreign jurisdiction.

We take reasonable steps to see that your Personal Information is treated in an appropriate and secure manner, in accordance with this Privacy Policy subject, however, to the legal requirements of the relevant foreign jurisdiction.

We may also provide information we collect through the Services which has been anonymized to the extent that you are no longer identifiable to third parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.


We ensure that administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to safeguard the information collected by the Services are always maintained. However, no information system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to the Services over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.

We will keep your Personal Information for as long as we have a relationship with you (e.g. for as long as you are a user of our Services). Once our relationship with you has come to an end, we will retain your Personal Information for a period of time that enables us to:

  • Maintain business records for analysis and/or audit purposes;
  • Comply with record retention requirements under the law;
  • Defend or bring any existing or potential legal claims; and
  • Deal with any complaints regarding the Services.

We will delete your Personal Information when it is no longer required for these purposes. If there is any information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further processing or use of the data.

Your consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances and applicable laws. These may include the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict our use of, or receive a portable copy in a usable electronic format of your Personal Information. You also may also object to our uses of your Personal Information as described above.

Loop reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any such changes will be posted on Loop’s website and will take effect immediately upon posting. We will take reasonable measures to advise affected individuals of any material changes, if necessary. You may direct a complaint concerning compliance with the Privacy Policy to our Privacy Officer. The complaint must be in writing.
